Haven't used these yet but had a set for my previous aircraft and they worked as advertised. Very satisfied with them and much easier than tying knots (I'm a pilot not a sailor).

Right out of the bag they worked great. No knots and easy to use clip. Spring in hold down clamp worked easily and quickly. Tethered the air plane in about 3 minutes. Came with two long and one slightly shorter tether for those times your not exactly in the middle of the parking spot.

Very easy to use, and assurance that the plane is tied down securly.
Cons
Hook doesn't fit around thick ground anchors. The straps also appear to expand and contrast when they get wet. It would also be nice if you could purchase just one replacement strap instead of having to buy all 3.
General Comments
The hook and latch are now coated, which should hold up better compared to the older style ones. At the time of this writing, Sportys still shows the picture of the older style uncoated latch.

spring that holds the hook closed could be a little stronger. Had a problem with the hook slipping off of the ground eyelet while attaching the wing hook. Also the 6' could be replaced with another 9' strap. At our airport, the distance to the rear tiedown is a little long when the wings are already tied, so it doesn't quite reach if I parked it just a little bit off-center.

Wal-mart sells a similar product for about $15, but the straps are only 6' and it doesn't have the spring/snap thing that keeps the hook from coming off if it goes slack for a moment. I think that the Sporty's item is a good buy for what you get. I would just like for the tail strap to be a little longer.

Compared to ropes, these things are blazing fast. My wife was taking two bags out of the plane while I tied down. When I offered to grab some of the bags, she said "that's ok, you tie down"....but honey, I am done.
Cons
I like the secure hooks, but they will not work with all tie downs, so better take some caribeaners or rope just in case.

The product is really easy to use. Most of us have had motorcycle or 4 wheeler, and have used similar straps before.
The snap hooks provide an extra measure of security, I haven't tested them to hard though, my plane has been through one moderate storm with out loosening

These you don't want to leave on the ground while flying. They may not be there later as unless pilots know they are yours... well.. someone may just want to park their plane in your spot
