I had been using them, but talked to my instructors and other pilots and they all said if you can afford the A20's do it, you won't regret it. I have bought other audio products instead of Bose because of cost, but because of the quality of sound, reliability of the product, and comfort I ALWAYS go back to Bose. On this purchase it was no different. I thought about a less expensive headset, but knew I would regret it and wind up buying the Bose. There was no question that I had done the right thing when I first put them on in the cockpit. They are quiet, comfortable, easy to use, and sound amazing. I would recommend these to anyone looking to buy a headset, even students. It makes my training that much more enjoyable and makes ATC understandable enough that I don't get overwhelmed with the radio on a busy day. As my pilot friends said, if you can afford them, they are worth every penny. Good luck and happy flying.September 7, 2017Purchased
4 weeks agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesAbsolutely amazing (but expensive) headsetPurchased the headset after using DC's with ANR, but there is no comparison. These are about half the weight and so much more comfortable to wear for hours. The real difference is in the sound and features. The noise reduction is at least 2X better than my other set and it's just so quiet now inflight. The bluetooth is great also and the intelligent auto mixing technology allows you to have your iPad linked (other other BT device) while using your navcom as usual. There just isn't anything else available they makes it all so easy and performs as well. My only issue is the price. All of these features come with a steep price tag. You need to decide if it's worth it for yourself. For me, it was.September 3, 2017Purchased

We expected quiet and clear audio, which it provided, but the light weight resulted in a much more comfortable post flight experience!
We absolutely love the new Bose headsets, and wonder why we put up with inferior competitors products.
Time will tell on the durability of this light weight product.August 28, 2017Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?Yesbest out theresometimes bose gets discounted as being absurd. I just bought two new ones and couldn't be happier. They seem expensive, but not compared to hearing loss. Highly recommend for quality and support.August 21, 2017Purchased

The bose headset it has the normal comm chord that connectinto your airplane. The bluetooth is to your iPhone or iPad. So the blue tooth fantastic for listening to music on your phone. And if you need to call in for a clearance you can do it with your phone and hear it all in your headset.
The only thing i might say is to think hard if you want the typical two pin plugs connections. In which case the noise cancellation on off switch runs off batteries. You have to change them about every 10 hours or so. Or if your plane has the one pin option for your headset,(the round six pen) , it will supply power to the headset and you needn't worry about batteries ever. As soon as you push the noise cancellation button and the drone of the engine goes away, you will forget you paid a grand for these! I am a petite person but find that most of the discomfort from headsets is how tight they press against your head and subsequently, against what i would assume is my glands under my ear right behind my jaw. After a while, ugh! Does anyone have any experience with changing to Bose to relieve that pressure or recommend another brand altogether?BEST ANSWER: Andi,
I have owned and used a variety of headsets over the years. I purchased a two Bose A20's last July. They are very comfortable. I understand the "pinching" problem that can occur with other headsets and I feel that this is completely a non-issue with the Bose A20's. I flew 24 hours in March of this year, including several flights greater than 4 hours in duration. I used the A20 exclusively and had nothing but excellent results.I am a student pilot and would love to have a Bose headset.
