What I can say is that they are extremely comfortable and light enough, the ear cups are big enough for me and so much more comfortable than the Senheisers I use at work which hurt my ears especially with glasses on. The ANR function is absolutely blissful in my Jabiru Light Sport, my girlfriend says the same. So far I can't fault them at all and I'm not easily pleased, I have 25000 hrs of headset experience.October 19, 2017Purchased

I defy anyone to prove me wrong! When I purchased a small General Aviation aircraft, I was initially going to purchase a cheaper ANR headset. I was then talked into getitting the A20s by a couple of professional pilots. So glad I made the investment in Bose! The comfort, sound quality and noise reduction can’t be matched by any headset I had used previously. The Bluetooth feature is also great technology that I have found to be very beneficial.October 16, 2017Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesBest headset for $$The sound quality is fantastic! The comfort and adjustability is top notch. I love the noise cancellation feature. Blue tooth works excellent. I can watch my pilot vids and turn on the noise cancellation and never hear the family once! I love it. Buy them. They are worth every penny and way better than my David Clarke set.October 11, 2017Purchased

Not a headset that is affordable for the general aviation and sport pilot.October 9, 2017Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesNo Disappointments Here! Not much to add that hasn't already been said - these are about as perfect as an aviation headset gets. They're so comfortable I don't notice them, even on long trips. Passive noise cancelling is excellent (I've forgotten to turn them on, and still had a great flight), active noise cancelling is outstanding. This is the second pair I've purchased.
Bose support is fantastic. The headset is very rugged - mine are not treated gently. Quality and construction are impeccable. Even the smallest details are well thought out, right down to the little velcro spare battery holder.
Negatives... and it's a real stretch to come up with any: They're not really suited to use at my desk ( the noise cancellation is too aggressive, the mic seems too sensitive for phone calls in a quiet space), and you have to disable auto-off to keep them awake with a tiny switch under the batteries. $1100 is expensive, but you get what you pay for, they're a professional tool, and there's a ton of technology invested in a product for a limited market. Pretty petty complaints - they're built to do one thing exceptionally well, and they do it.
Recommended without hesitation, and Sporty's is awesome to shop with.September 28, 2017Purchased

Browse 28 questions Browse 28 questions and 39 answersCan the new Bose A20 be paired to and iPad for alerts from Forflight and a iPhone for talking on the phone (to get clearances) at the same time?BEST ANSWER: Yes it can be paired to an iPad and iPhone.
Once paired, you can make calls with your phone for clearances and IFR cancellations.
the iPad will give you audio for music, movies, and alerts.Bluetooth headset has no cord at all?BEST ANSWER: hey Randy. The bose headset it has the normal comm chord that connectinto your airplane. The bluetooth is to your iPhone or iPad. So the blue tooth fantastic for listening to music on your phone. And if you need to call in for a clearance you can do it with your phone and hear it all in your headset.
The only thing i might say is to think hard if you want the typical two pin plugs connections. In which case the noise cancellation on off switch runs off batteries. You have to change them about every 10 hours or so. Or if your plane has the one pin option for your headset,(the round six pen) , it will supply power to the headset and you needn't worry about batteries ever. As soon as you push the noise cancellation button and the drone of the engine goes away, you will forget you paid a grand for these! Fly safe.Just bought my a20 headset on 8/7/17. I am a petite person but find that most of the discomfort from headsets is how tight they press against your head and subsequently, against what i would assume is my glands under my ear right behind my jaw. After a while, ugh! Does anyone have any experience with changing to Bose to relieve that pressure or recommend another brand altogether?BEST ANSWER: Andi,
I have owned and used a variety of headsets over the years. I purchased a two Bose A20's last July. They are very comfortable. I understand the "pinching" problem that can occur with other headsets and I feel that this is completely a non-issue with the Bose A20's. I flew 24 hours in March of this year, including several flights greater than 4 hours in duration. I used the A20 exclusively and had nothing but excellent results.I am a student pilot and would love to have a Bose headset.
