Wish I'd Tried This Sooner
I now have a new all time favorite headset - the DC Pro X is easy to use and works quite well from either seat. I haven't adjusted the settings since the first flight.

5 stars!
As a flight instructor sometimes spending 7-8 hours flying per day having this lightweight, noise cancelling headset makes a world of difference. Make sure to properly fit ear muffs otherwise noise cancelling doesn't work as well. The Bluetooth is nice for playing music on a long flight, picking up a flight plan on the ground, or really any use. Would highly suggest this headset

Pros: Light weight and comfortable. Cons: I like how it folds up but I hope this feature is not a source of failure in the future. I like this headset, I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. The headset is well designed and looks like it is a quality build. It is comfortable and does not bother my ears or head. I normally have the headset on for about 6 to 7 hours at a time. The noise canceling feature works well and makes a noisy Boeing cockpit less fatiguing.

Outstanding...
Ive tested the headset now for approximately 30 hours in a cockpit of an Lear 60 and its amazing. The fitting is perfect, its easy to use, the weight is great which means you dont notice that you wear your headset and for me the sound is also great. Also the noise cancelling function is perfect. Highly recommended by myself!! Its a great product for a smaller price compared with other providers... Actually until now I had no chance to test it in an SEP/MEP - so I cant tell you anything about that.

Pros: Excellent clarity, with good passive noise reduction, but superb hybrid noise cancellation. Cons: I find myself needing to adjust the headset for proper active noise cancellation performance. I bought this product for myself hoping to find a good value for a student, but at the same time invest in a headset that would serve me well for years to come, and I think I've found it. While I could have probably found a very basic headset to get me going for now at a fraction of the cost, I don't regret my purchase and spending some extra money now at all, especially when it comes to protecting my hearing. I considered a variety of brands, having previously used a Bose headset and the DC H10-13X. This has all the features of a high-end headset for a price that's not much more than a basic hybrid noise canceling headset. Even though finding the 'sweet spot' other reviews talk about takes some time and it feels like the headset will slide around, I find it actually rests rather comfortably on my ears, and doesn't move around much. Overall, I'm impressed by the headset's design, and it has all the features to satisfy my inner gadget-nerd.

Solid DC quality
Ordered these to replace my 20 year old H10-60 for a daily-use headset in a Hawker 800. They're built just as solidly as everything else DC makes, and more comfortable than just about any other ANR headset I've used. No pinch points or absurd pricing like the Bose A20's and no fragile construction like the Lightspeeds. Noise reduction works very well if you take your time to position the ear cups for a good seal (once you get the headband set it's quick). I can still hear passenger and flight attendant questions/requests through them, but they block almost all engine noise and a very good portion of wind noise (much better than the ANR Telex sets). Bluetooth works fine, I got about 50 hours out of the first set of batteries while using it. I don't have the hiss that others describe, sound is clear and full-bodied just like the Bose and Lightspeeds I've used in the past. Haven't used them in a piston yet, but for a jet these things are perfect. I've flown 5+ hour legs with them, and you forget they're on your head.

Pros: Much lighter than I expected, and they work great. I have used older David Clark & other headsets, but the Pro-X have me spoiled. For the money, they exceed all expectations.

Pros: Very light weight, Very comfortable, Very good ANR. You could where this headset for hours and not be bothered a bit. I have used my DC Pro-X in the BE-90, PC-12, LR-45, CE-680, Westwind, and even the 172. The ANR works great in the 172 and at the same time isn't overkill in the jets. Nice and small with great ANR and a great value. Highly recommend this headset for the Jet and Turboprop Pilots. The A20 and Zulus are WAY too much headset and WAY more expensive than necessary. It was really hard to take the leap of faith and buy this product but I am glad I did. Money well spent!

Better than Bose
I saw some reviews saying they are too quiet, but this is not the case, you can hear the engine drop from 2500 to 15 RPM easily, you can dial up and down the volume. About the only rap on them is they eat batteries for lunch

Does it get uncomfortable after long use (1hr-2hrs)?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm using it I place of a telex 850 that began to fail. It's a great unit and I have to say after 4 hours of flying it does begin to press on my ears. Yet the quality and functionality are superb. I would reduce the size of the headband. Battery power lasts about 40 hrs.

are the plugs compatible to Cessna 172 ?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: i wish i can tell you they are, but i haven't flown a 172 in years...i fly a 737 and while the unit works well, the batteries last about 30 hours. ear pads are comfortable until after 4 hours then they become tight against the ears. the worst issue with this unit is the heavy battery on/off piece that weighs quite a bit with 2 AA batteries. the bluetooth works great....
