Great for everything.
I just finished my training up in Canada, I wanted to save money on ground school to put towards flying. I bought this book and it was well worth it. I used this book and the CARS (Canadian Aviation Regulations) to study for my CPL/INRAT/IATRA and it gave me all the information I needed. $100.00 was better then the thousands for ground school, the information was very easy to read, it gave good questions at the end of each chapter for review and the answers are in the back to check. One thing in particular I liked was it had a brief summary at the end of each chapter in point form, this was easy to write in my notes and memorize. Booked helped me a lot, everyone has their own study method and way to learn but I'd recommend this 100%. Cheers.

Pros: It's in color. Lots of visual aids. Easy to understand text. I read this book when I was near the end of my instrument training so it was a good reinforcement. I think it is much better then the text book that comes with "Cleared for Approach."

Pros: Jeppesen just seems to have a way of taking mundane information and making it exciting. They seem to have found the right mix with respect to imparting the essential information and enforcing it with beautiful illustrations and historical facts. I am not a big reader so the extra fluff really made the book a joy to read.

Pros: Excellent overall product for the learning instrument pilot. The large detailed pictures are excellent for visualizng holds and other such maneuvers. A little on the big side but remember it also is geared toward a commercial pilots license as well. Cons: A little expensive but well worth the cost because it will remain an excellent training resource to even the most experienced pilot. I wish I had bought their Private Pilot's book when I was working on that.
