The iPad Bifold HP Kneeboard is my favorite way to organize the iPad while flying. It's never in the way and it helps keep a few extras nearby like pens and charging cables. I also love how versatile it is. I can use it as a lap desk, let the side hang down my leg or fold it under to be the most compact. It also easily fits in my flight bag.

Well constructed and designed
The kneeboard is well thought out and constructed and holds a number of essential items. It fits the ipad very well. I am likely to move the ipad to a yoke mounted configuration as that will work better for me. but that decision doesn't have anything to do with this kneeboard. I continue to use the kneeboard to hold other accessories as well as take notes with a paper pad.

I can't imagine a better iPad kneeboard
The ability to set the iPad at an angle while flying is TREMENDOUSLY beneficial for both viewing ability and lower likelihood of getting it in the path of the control yoke. I haven't used the iPad in landscape mode with this kneeboard, but it's cool that it's an option.
I too found the upper elastic straps to block the iPad mini 4's ambient light sensor, but a couple of seconds in the settings menu makes this a non-issue.
I love the size of the zippered and two pockets in front of the zippered portion. Ample room for my medical cert, physical taxi diagram, and my headset's user guide as well as plenty of other similarly sized documents should the need arise. The pockets outside the zipper portion are perfect for holding a cell phone for quick access in flight. You could also add a flight mod since that portion is much like the loop side of velcro.
I also dig the see-thru pouch on the front - sized for an exact fit of my PPL cert and ID.
So much functionality in a very small form factor. Doesn't hurt that it matches my Flight Gear flight bag :) This kneeboard is a slam dunk. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Affordable and complete
All around an excellent product for the money. It does everything you need at an affordable price when compared to other options. The side flap pockets are cloth rather than mesh, which in other models could (and will) fail prematurely.

Pretty nice
I like it, but I don't find the extra flap to be as useful as I thought I would

Lost my Pilot License and it doesn’t function well
I have an IPad Pro 9.7 and this kneebord does not take into account where the auto dim sensors are on the iPad. The elastic straps are right over the sensors making the iPad think it is dark out and find the screen so low you cannot read the screen. This causes you to have to go into the settings mid flight to change the brightness.
The tilt function makes it much easier to read the screen, but it also makes the kneeboard top heavy, and doesn’t stay standing up very well due to not being able to tighten the leg strap tight enough to secure it this causes the iPad to rotate to the side of your leg and you constantly are readjusting.
My last gripe which caused me to write this review and attempt to return this product is the ID holder on the front of the kneeboard apparently doesn’t secure IDs very well. I figured it would be a safe spot to put my pilot license thinking I would always have my iPad with me. Well I was wrong. I got my preflight weather and verified my license was in the ID holder on the front of kneeboard prior to leaving the FBO. Luckily I got a email the next day saying someone had found my license sitting on the ramp and returned it to customer service.

IPAD leg
I liked the product but did return it as the Ipad and the holder were very large for the small space of a Cessna 172. I ended up getting a Ipad Mini and a case for that instead.

Good kneeboard overall
I like the knee pad. At first it felt a little big based that my old knee board was not for an iPad. I would suggest for the future to add a horizontal elastic strap on the other side because I still want my hard metal board to write. Or Velcro for personal accessories. I wish the rotation of the iPad was different. I think while flying I'll set it up and won't turn it and more because it can be a bit of a pain.

I like it
I like it. It holds all of my essentials to make flying fun and easy. Very well made. The ipad holder wasn't as expected, but it works well. It's just hard to turn the ipad around when in flight.

Great iPad kneeboard
It is working well - the only thing I wish is that it had a iPan holder for use with iPad Pro.

O.K.
While the design is nice, the quality is fair. This particular kneeboard is o.k., but I wouldn't recommend it for a 9.7 iPad Pro. The elastic holders covers up the auto-dim sensor, a feature I prefer to keep on.
