It is better than I expected! Super easy to use. I am an A&P and use it to check elt plus atis while i do my flight training. Cant wait to build aircraft and use it in that!! ConsNONE so far other than the dual watch setting makes the transmission skip every other 3rd second.....took 8 times to get atis info until I figured out that was enable. Directions are extremely complicated to try to program buttons. Its easier to just punch in the frequency and your done. General CommentsI was able to hear a commercial airplane at 18,000 feet and 20 miles from my house. In the air I was loud and clear up to about 10 miles from the airport at 3000 feet AGL. Over all it is a reasonable comms that will work great as a backup. |
