It is PERFECT. Each light has its own switch, so it is very easy to turn on the right light (blue or green or red or white), because the white light switch has a cross-hatched surface, so if you take this as a reference, the green light switch is on the right, the red light switch is on the left (easy to remember: as the lights on the airplanes wings) . I have read a coment that the flashlight switches could be turned easily inside the flight bag; well I don't think so, I've put it on purpose in a cramped pocket inside my flight bag to check for this and it stayed turned off.

Besides the price being a little bit high [my wife is still complaining about this ;) ] , the only thing I miss is a lanyard.

It is compact and seems very durable.

Very handy because of its size.

When i recieved it one of the batterys was corroted and it didnt work. but i cleaned it and now it works great

Multiple colors make reading different chart styles easier. Compact size makes storage simple, doesn't clutter the cockpit. White LEDs are bright enough to perform pre-flight at night, red/green/blue lights don't disturb night vision. Solid construction. Uses three triple-A batteries, carrying spares doesnt require much space.

Switches are easily activated accidentally while stored in the flight bag, resulting in dead battery condition at the time the flashlight is most needed. Spare battery pack is a must. Red, Green and especially Blue LEDs are a bit too bright for my liking. Supplied lanyard is good for wrists, but far too small for around-the-neck. Figuring out which switch is for which color in the dark isn't simple; the button for white light has a cross-hatched surface, but there's no way to tell which color you'll get by pressing any of the other buttons, until you learn which color is at which position from the "index" white button (which can be identified by feel).

A great little flashlight that could be improved considerably with a few small modifications: Putting a raised index on the red button (like you find on the "F" and "J" keys on your keyboard) would be a helpful and simple modification. Providing a master safety switch or button to prevent accidental activation. Supplying a lanyard long enough to go around the neck, with a suitable quick-disconnect fitting to ensure the flashlight can't become an entanglement risk. I've already modified my flashlight in these ways, but I think the manufacturer would do well to make the same modifications in production.

Small & convenient, easy to use and variety of colored LED's to choose from. I'd rather use red as it is the easiest on my eyes during night time flying.

There is no way to tell which button is which color, and the buttons are really sensitive; sometimes while in the pouch any LED can be accidentally turned on and cause battery drain. It happened to me and had to get new batteries.

Very nice as a bag flash light or spare. The button that operates the 3 high intensity LED's is rugged so you have to feel it and memorize which buttons are left, right and below it to operate the colored LED's. That was how I figured it for knowing which button was which during darkness.

All of the switches are the same ... so in a dark cockpit you have no idea which color light you will be turning on until you try it.

blue color led is very useful to hilight city's polygones on VNC (canadian) map.

the push button switches have no provision to select the proper led color when used in low light environment
