Carbon-X Stain Remover (One Gallon)
Now Available for Private Aircraft! Arrow Magnolia has been supplying airlines and corporate owners with industrial-strength cleaning supplies for years. Because of demands for large quantities, these chemicals were previously available only in large drums. Now through a special arrangement with Arrow Magnolia, Sporty's® offers these supplies in smaller quantities, better suited for your aircraft. We have used these products for years on everything from rentals to Hal's personal Aztec and feel confident you will be impressed with their performance. Carbon-X Removes exhaust deposits, fuel stains, oil and grease from the underside of fuselage, engine cowlings, wheel wells, etc. Dilutes 20 to 1; just spray on, let soak, then rinse clean—scrubbing is not necessary. Pleasantly scented and stainless, it leaves no oily film or residue. Safe to use on all aircraft finishes including exotic metals and composites. Also cleans driveways, motorcycles, boat and car engines. For use with dilution spray bottle. Meets Air Force Specification MIL-C-25769-E. Gallon size will last an entire season--a great value! |

General CommentsI bought Carbon-X specifically for getting turbine exhaust off my King Air's nacelles and the top of the wing. Other people have said in their reviews that this is the best thing to use. I did not find this to be the case and it really wasn't all that dirty this time. As far as I could tell Carbon-X didn't do any better than garden-variety soap and water and I was pretty disappointed. It's a good thing I bought a gallon of Aero Glaze in the same order. The fact is that after Carbon-X failed, the Aero Glaze got out the gray stains that the Carbon-X left behind. Go figure. I don't know why people are bragging about this stuff. I have used other spray-on cleaners like diluted Red Thunder that works but they are so harsh they dull the finish after a while. The Aero Glaze not only got out all the exhaust stain and made the paint white again but also left a nice shine. I won't be ordering Carbon-X again. |

| Tons of uses for this product. Works effectively at removing burned in soot in paint from turbo-prop exhaust. Works well on landing gear to remove bugs, brake dust etc. ConsKeep away from pneumatic boots unless you're preparing to strip, prep and reseal the boots. I'd recommend wearing gloves with this product as it has a tendency to dry hands. General CommentsWorks great in a spray bottle or in a 1 gallon pump-pressurized bottle. Also works well just for spot treatments; spray on a rag and spot clean bugs etc. |

General CommentsI really like this stuff. it cuts through the bug guts and the gunky mess that always finds it's way onto the belly. spray it on and wait a few seconds for it to penetrate, then wipe off with a clean dry cloth. you will need to change rags frequently because it cleans so well. Doesn't hurt the paint. |
