    The Best Headset Ever!
    Pros

Awesome Noise Reduction, Clear Communications, Great Features!

    Cons

    NONE!!

    General Comments

I had tried different headsets prior to buying the Bose A20 and was having trouble hearing my instructor. Once I plugged this headset in there wasn't just a little difference in my ability to hear my instructor, I felt like I was sitting in a quiet room talking to him! THIS IS WORTH THE INVESTMENT! I now feel safer knowing that I can hear what my instructor is saying and feel better knowing that in the future when I start soloing that I will be able to hear other air traffic with no issues! This product might be a $1000+ however, its worth the investment and I will recommend it to anyone that fly's!

    Pros

Easy to set up. Great at noise reduction. Quality materials, nice microphone, stays where you put it.

    Cons

The cost is way out of line for an aviation headset. This headset is too good at noise reduction during ground operations - cannot hear co-pilot's checklist responses thereby I have to move right ear piece behind ear which cancels the benefits of the noise reduction properties. I now decrease my radio control panel volume down to a point where there is no audible volume coming out of my overhead 737 speaker so my jump seat riders cannot hear ATC calls. Ear cups are very good at sealing against your brain housing unit thereby not permitting the pressurization changes. You must manually equalize your ears during the descent phase. Cord is too thick and not pliable; you are constantly readjusting the cord off of your shoulder.

    General Comments

Bose did a great job at building this headset. The noise cancelation properties should protect my hearing in this noisy 737 cockpit especially at Mach .76 and above. But I believe that you are buying the marketing department name recognition price and not the true cost to manufacture this product. It would have been smarter to price this headset in the $650 range for the general aviation segment.

This headset is worth it's weight in gold. I knew what they were meant to do from a bose booth at EAA's Airventure however, that booth did not do them justice. If you fly small aircraft, even if you're a student, it's worth the investment! If you're looking at replacing or adding to your inventory of headsets for work, the family or your self buy this pair!

The Bose A20 Aviation Headset is great. The only downside is that not everyone can afford it, but as they say you get what you pay for. I switched from a DC to the Bose A20 and I now see what I was missing. If you have any doubts about this headset, they will be answered when you put it on for the first time. I was a little relentless about spending that much on a headset, but it was well worth it.

    Bose A-20
    Pros

All the functions work as advertised. The music is nice, but having the Bluetooth for the phone is fantastic. Battery life is out standing, even with the extra functions.

    Cons

The down cable died, but with Bose outstanding customer service the headset was only down for a few days.

    General Comments

At first I could not detect any improvement in the clarity, but after a few weeks it became clear that it was better than the Series X. I am now hearing sounds I am not sure I wanted to hear.

    Awesome Headphones!
    Pros

    Excellent noise reduction.
    Improvement over Aviation X model.
    Bluetooth is a nice feature.
Less clamping force and lighter than X model.

    Cons

    Expensive
    Control box is heavy

    General Comments

The A20 model is an improvement over the Aviation X model. Filters out more frequencies. While flying it's almost dead silent except for the low drone of the engine and the crystal clear radio communications. Can't even hear the gyros running when you first flip on the master switch. Bluetooth is a nice feature; actually tested it in the airplane with the engine running (on the ground). Crystal clear. Only negative comment is that it would be nice if they could figure out a way to make the control box less bulky and lighter. You can definitely feel it's weight hanging on the cord. They include two clothing clips, which help greatly if you anchor it to your pants or seatbelt or something so it supports the weight of the control box. Overall very pleased with the headset.
