MultiSump+™ Fuel Tester
Many of the new aircraft on the market today have over 10 fuel sumps, which can quickly overwhelm standard fuel testers. The MultiSump+ was designed specifically to increase capacity without compromising safety. The "plus" in the MultiSump+™ is its built-in fuel strainer. This popular fuel tester has been enhanced with the addition of a micro-mesh stainless steel screen that keeps impurities and water from entering the fuel tank during pour back. Features: • Stainless steel push rod • One hand operation • No drip pour spout • Quick-acting drain valve • Clear construction • Check up to 8 sumps before it needs to be emptied Simply draw a sample from the sump and inspect it in the upper sampling cup. Transfer the fuel to the lower catch can by tipping the sample cup in any direction. The MutiSump+ can check up to 8 sumps before needing emptied. Measures 7” h x 2 3/4” dia. |

ConsIts bigger than what your old shotglass type, but for obvious reasons. You will have to find a good spot for it in the aircraft. Cons Bulky to store (I rent vs own, so I have to tote it in my flight bag) The contaminated sample problem was unexpected. Did three sumps and the fourth had some water it in. There is no way to just pour off the contaminated sample, you end up dumping it all out. Perhaps some type of filter would help with that problem. The water also stuck to the surface of the sample cup and mixed with subsequent samples, had to wipe it dry first. |
