Date - 5-21-2009 Pilot Rating - Private OverallDurability Reliability Value Usability Expected Recommended Yes | Easy, simple & compact product; It comes with the little yellow plastic stub that is to be pushed into the tanks sampling fuel nozzle to obtain the fuel sample. For protection, if the Fuel Sampler is inoperable, this stub is inserted adversely into the sample tube pointing inwardly. To operate the Fuel Sampler the stub has to be extracted, turned around and reinserted with the stub pointing outwardly. As the inserted stub sticks firmly in the tube, this extractions requires an additional tool like a screw driver every time it is taken out for using the Fuel Sampler. This might be quite awkward if one is under the planes wing und wants to use the Sampler. A toolset with screwdrivers is not part of normal pilot equipment. Luckily the sampler comes with an inserted screwdriver bit on the sampler’s opposite end, which can be used to extract the sticking stub. But this is still not easy and might even damage the little yellow plastic stub. General CommentsWorks as advertised |
