    Great for IFR training.
    Pros

Its really comfortable and easy to clip on. No more hoods making your uncomfortable while you are concentrating on flying.

    Cons

I sometimes wonder if it will break in my flight bag.

    Kinda fragile, but works well..
    Pros

Lightweight and great alternative to over-the-glasses foggles.

    Cons

Very fragile, would be very easy to break and are easily scratched.

    General Comments

I would rather have to buy an extra set of these clip-ons than use the bulky over-the-glasses kind of foggles.

Works -- and for not much money too.
    Pros

For the first time, an IFR vision-limiting device is offered that will fit over glasses with more than a -5 diopter nearsightedness correction. For those of us requiring a special issuance of our medicals because we can't see the

    Cons

Other reviewers say it scratches easily. I haven't owned mine long enough to testify reliably about that. But they also say it lacks side areas to limit your peripheral vision. While true, this isn't important if you have a vision correction of more than 5; peripheral vision beyond your glasses won't help you cheat in simulated IFR anyway. If you have a smaller correction than that, however, this could be an issue, so you need to avoid peeking. The clear ones, those I bought, were a little too clear when flying into a low-angle sun, so if you're practicing on a very bright day in early morning or later afternoon you might prefer the tinted ones.

    Pros

As a lifetime glasses wearer, I find these the best answer to simulated instrument flying. They are light and easily flipped up or down.

    Cons

I find the tinted ones too dark to use in my Cessna. The instrument panel is too shaded in most lighting conditions. I use the slear and when I need sunglasses I just put them over my prescription sunglasses.
I find that you hve to be carefull they do scratch easily and the resulting haze can be difficult to see thtough. I replace mine every three years or so.

    Pros

I already had a Clip and Flip that I had purchased from Sportys. I think that for those of us pilots who wear glasses, the Flip and Clip is as convenient as any set of foggles on the market. I have about 4-5 pair, from various manufacturers and the Flip and Clip is the best!

    Cons

I already had a Clip and Flip that I had purchased from Sportys but the lenses were scratched so I ordered this one. It came as badly scratched as the 3-4 year old one that I was replacing. So, I already sent this one back and am hoping that Sportys will send me one with clear, unscratched lenses. I even took this one to my eye doctor's office and asked him to look at it - he said "send it back, it's all scratched" so I did.

    General Comments

I like the products and the service that I get from Sportys. It's a really good company, serving pilots well. For the most part, keep up the good work (and please send me an unscratched new pair of Flip and Clip foggles!

    Pros

I have a small face and the standard foggles totally obstruct my view (including the instruments) so these clip-on foggles are a good choice.

    Cons

They're still pretty big for my small framed eye-glasses so I have to cip them at the very top of the eye glasses in order to be able to see the instruments. If I clip them all the way down as shown - they totally obstruct all view! I wish they were smaller and narrower but they are still better than anything else out there.

Very easy to use with my pair of glasses.

You can see out the sides of them making them not a very good training device unless you modify these to block out more of your side vision.

The clip holding the foggle to the sunglasses came apart the second day of use. While I was able to get it back together after much effort, it took some tape to keep them in place.

Just what I expected. Easy to flip up for landing. Not bulky in the cockpit where space is limited. I bought both for sunny & cloudy days.

    Cons

I would like to try a blue tinted set if they become available for sunny days.

    Pros

Very easy to use and you can put them on before you even take off. Just to flip them up at DH is great. No fumbling around when its time to land.

    Cons

A bit overpriced for the quality of clip-on but not much in the market like them.

    General Comments

I always wear a hat when flying. And since giving up on my contacts, I now wear glasses. I haven't found a good hood to wear with glasses. They either get in the way of that hat or the glasses. These clip-ons are by far the most enjoyable view limiting device for pilots who wear glasses. Just flip them up and down as needed.

    Pros

Comfortable and quick in the cockpit for IFR training. Easy to store. Provides the upper vision restriction needed

    Cons

Very easily scratched! Also, if you wear bi-focals - then these cause a problem during partial-panel training and you are trying to reference the mag compass or upper part of instrument panel.

    General Comments

Generally as expected. I cannot over=emphasize the lack of scratch resistance - so use only a micro-fiber cloth. I ordered the frosted version so it was interchangeable between my regular glasses and sunglasses. They beat a hood or the kind that are large glasses that fit over your prescription glasses. Just beware of the bifocal issue.

Very easy to use with sun or regular glasses. Particularly good for the transition from hood work to an actual visual landing.

    Cons

Too easy to see sideways. I might have to cobble something to hang on the sides of my sun glasses to block the lateral view.

Most comfortable "hood" I've ever used.

Not sure if an FAA examiner would approve of them. You can
see around them a little more than others.
