    Pros

Good overall presentation of what is required in order to get the IFR rating......expecially true of the visuals provided.

    Cons

An awful lot of new material offered all at once (with the need to review more than once) and many of the written exam questions at the end of each section not always covered in the individual presentations. You need to independently learn and memorize many of the written exam questions.

    General Comments

Worth the expense of the materials if only to get a perpective on the requirements for the IFR rating.

    Good introduction to IFR.

    Cons

Proceeds very fast, don't have time to let parts of the lesson sink in. Need to pause, not a big issue.

    General Comments

Good product. This should be a supplement to your IFR training.

    Pros

DVD'S ARE VERY WELL ORGANIZED WITH GOOD GRAPHICS AND EXPLAIN THE SUBJECTS PRETTY WELL AND ALLOW YOU TO PAUSE OR REPLAY TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTOOD THE MATERIAL. I LIKE THE AIR FACTS AT THE END TO GIVE YOU THE REAL WORLD PERSPECTIVE AND THE QUIZ TO MAKE SURE YOU GOT THE BASICS FOR THAT CHAPTER.

    Cons

I WOULD LIKE MORE INFO ON EMERGENCY PROCEDURES OR TIPS ,TRICKS OF THE TRADE OR JUST NICE TO KNOW TYPE INFO THAT COMES FROM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE THAT I COULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THESE DVD'S RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE AS A NOVICE SINCE WE NEVER KNOW WHAT WE MIGHT RUN INTO EVEN ON A ROUTINE FLIGHT BUT THE PRODUCT AS IT STANDS IS GREAT.

    Pros

Nicely done DVD and better than the online streaming. I have had issues with online streaming which you may not.

    Cons

Course is too fast. It's thorough and I am a pretty quick learner but the DVD's provide too much information too fast.

    General Comments

Watch some of the sample online and really decide whether they may be too fast or not. Remember you'll be watching at the same pace for about an hour on many of the titles.

I wish I had purchased both the VFR and IFR at the same time to get the 1/2 price discount. I was disappointed that even though you could verify that I had purchased the VFR, you could not honor any discount unless they were actually ordered at the same time.

    Pros

The instrument rating course was not only educational but a complete joy to watch. It was presented in an interesting format with exceptional graphics and narration. The segments with Dick Collins were informative and entertaining. His extensive knowledge of aviation, as well as his pleasant personality, is a winning combination
and formula for a successful learning experience.

    Cons

I wish it never ended. I plan on purchasing the private pilot course as a tool for reviewing everything I have forgotten since I received my private 42 years ago when I was 17. Sportys is a first rate American company. God Bless you guys and gals.
