Cons I didn't use the supplied grommets and instead attached it to the aircraft side panel with 4 small bolts through smaller holes in the 4 corners that I drilled myself. The fear was that the center grommet arrangement on top would allow the two corners to get "dog-earred" or frayed as peoples' legs brush against the holder. Sporty's should offer an alternate product, with the improvements I suggested above. |

Airplanes, particularly warbirds will often get moisture in the cockpit when it rains. I would like the cerfificate holder to have a flap that would keep the water out. I would recommend this product if it gets improved. |

First, it has four holes for presumably for wood screws back when airplanes had lots of wood interior. Velcro would be much better, which is eventually how I mounted mine. Even so, the Airworthiness document doesn't really fit all the way into the pouch because of the screw holes. And finally, the documents are not fully enclosed so that someone could easily lift them (or take them out to read and misplace them). A good document would fully enclose the documents.
