| Earn FAA WINGS Credit with Sporty’s Courses [printer friendly] | |||||||||||||||
|
If you thought once you earned a license you would no longer have any use for Sporty’s award winning courses, think again. Not only do these courses make a great refresher for pilots who have been away from flying for a while, but both the Private Pilot and Instrument Rating Courses are now accepted for FAA WINGS credit.
Earning FAA WINGS credit with Sporty’s Courses is easy and automatic for those enrolled in the Pilot Proficiency Program [enroll free at FAASafety.gov]. After purchasing and viewing the video training segments, the pilot then completes two practice exams using Sporty’s online test preparation program included with the course. When these requirements have been met, users can simply click on the WINGS Credit option from the Sporty’s online test preparation program and credit is automatically provided through the FAA Safety system. “FAA Wings acceptance means a pilot can not only use these courses for their initial training, but can earn enough knowledge credits to accomplish multiple phases of the WINGS program which can satisfy flight review requirements. This WINGS participation could also make pilots eligible for savings on their aircraft insurance premiums.” says Sporty’s Academy President Eric Radtke.” In addition to the Private Pilot and Instrument Rating Courses, other Sporty’s programs FAA WINGS accepted are Garmin G1000 Checkout; VFR Communications; Pilot’s Guide to Runway Safety; Airspace and Weather Format Review; Flight Review; and Instrument Proficiency Check as well as recurrent flight training programs provided by Sporty’s Academy. Interested pilots may either purchase the DVD or video download at sportys.com/courses. All Sporty’s DVDs may be ordered at sportys.com or by calling Sporty's at 1.800.SPORTYS. Sporty’s merchandise ordered by Wednesday, December 23, 2009, can be delivered in time for Christmas. |
