I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to hundreds if not thousands of individuals who are interested in learning to fly. They come in all ages, all backgrounds and all walks of life. The passion for aviation makes for a great sense of community. The interest is there – I’m sure of it. I see and hear from them everyday as does our entire instructional staff.

Yet the pilot population has dipped below 600,000 and has been declining for years. The truth is that a small percentage of these individuals who come forward and express the interest, and even may take a flight, actually enroll in a pilot training course.
