Sporty’s annual Fly-In will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Clermont County/Sporty’s Airport. At this year’s Fly-In, the winner of Sporty’s 2012 Skycatcher Sweepstakes will be announced.

“We’re going to have fun all day long,” says Sporty’s President Michael Wolf. “Our guests can talk with aviation company representatives in our exhibit hall, eat free hot dogs, attend seminars, shop our retail store – and, of course, stand by to see if they are this year’s Sweepstakes winner of a brand-new Garmin-equipped Cessna Skycatcher.”

Sporty’s now offers a fourth app in its series of apps for aviation conventions and shows. Having produced successful apps for Sun ‘n Fun, EAA AirVenture and AOPA Expo, Sporty’s has now developed an app for the 2012 International Women in Aviation Conference to be held in Dallas, Texas, from March 8-10, 2012.

“Thank you to Sporty’s for this fantastic app for our members and others who will be attending this year’s Conference which is jam-packed with nearly non-stop activities. Not only was Wednesday, February 1 notable for its warm and pleasant weather, it also happened to be a day that brought a special first for Sporty’s and the Clermont County Airport. Brothers Will and Andrew Gilliland both soloed within an hour of each other in Cessna 172 Skyhawks. While Will may have bragging rights in terms of being first around the pattern, Andy executed three excellent landings and brother Will was first to offer his congratulations. Celebrating with Will and Andy were dozens of fellow pilots and instructors at Sporty’s.
