The Sporty's Academy Ab Initio Commercial Pilot Course is approved under Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 141. The Training Course Outline provides for the following average times. Students who attain the required proficiency and ability may graduate with less instruction and flight time as long as the FAR 141 regulatory minimums have been completed. A student who holds a Recreational Certificate can expect to deduct approximately $3500 from the cost of the Ab Initio Commercial Pilot Course. Flight and instructional times would be reduced by the times listed in the Recreational Pilot Certification Course.

Ground Instruction

62.3 Hours self tutorial and individual instruction using the Sporty's Private Pilot and Instrument Rating Video Courses in preparation for the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Knowledge Tests.
