Since I got 25 years of excellent service from my DC H20-10 passive headset DC got my business again when I finally updated to noise canceling. I’m using the DC One-X in PC12 single turboprops. The clarity of incoming audio is excellent and my transmissions are notably clearer. The passive ability of the DC One-X is so good that sometimes it takes a few minutes to realize I forgot to turn on ANC. Some audiophiles may debate comparisons of perfection among ANC products. I’m not persnickety enough to go there but I’m very pleased to have the additional noise reduction while still hearing the frequencies I need to clue me in if engine power changes a little or airspeed changes a lot.
The clever folding is very helpful for saving space in cockpit and in flight bag.
I have had some grief with the Bluetooth but that is a problem with any combo of devices I own so I didn’t subtract a star from my DC One-X overall rating.November 29, 2019Purchased
2 months agoWould You Recommend?YesGreat headset, but aggravates TinnitusReally like this headset. Shipped quickly, easy to set up, and works great. Impressed with the comfort, tone quality, and really liked the Bluetooth pairing.
Unfortunately, the ANR is aggravating my Tinnitus. I don’t notice it at all when the headset is on, but suffer with worse Tinnitus for a day or two after using the headset. So, as much as I like the headset, I am returning it and will stay with a PNR headset with Bluetooth adapter.November 27, 2019Purchased

I’ve flown with the DC Pro X for the last 4 years and love it with the exception of my ears being pinched while wearing sunglasses. I tried to upgrade to the DC One X, but after 3 hours I had a tension headache from the clamping force. The headset framework is the same on both, but the spring tension is different. I’m going back to my trusty DC Pro X. Light and no clamping pressure.November 22, 2019Purchased

having the plugs come apart, etc...as an airplane owner, comfort is king and the DC does well there, also. My airplane partner has another brand (rhymes with hose) and I much prefer
the One-X. Sound, comfort and noise attenuation all seem better on my DC and I saved over $200. My wife liked it so much more than the Bos..., um, I mean other headsets in the plane that we bought one for her,September 12, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesExcellent!Very comfortable, lots of adjustment range. They are much more comfortable for me than my Bose-X headsets (I have two Bose-X headsets). The bose headset does not have enough headband extension for my big head, so the ear cups were always riding on my earlobe. The DCs expand enough that the ear cup can rest comfortably around my ear. The noise cancelling is excellent and because of the better fit on me, much better than my Bose-X. And, you get the legendary Dave Clark customer service to at no extra charge!August 17, 2019Purchased

Fits her and my wife well. They won’t let me try it. The way it folds up and the carry bag is nice and convenient. Takes up less space then other headsets in a flight bag. My daughter turns it on and off easily by herself.July 24, 2019Purchased

My problem is not noise but fuzzy audio. Will this work with the David Clark K10 helmet?BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately it will not fit directly into the helmet. That being said it is only the headset earcup shape that prevents this from happening. If you are handy I don't believe it would be very difficult to add enough material such that the One-X would fit into the helmet.

The David Clark DC One-X uses the same electronics pkg as the David Clark DC Pro. I have around 8,500hrs of flight time and currently fly as captain on a Legacy 600. I came to the corporate side after 8yrs of flying at the regionals. Build quality and comfort are the top two things I look for. The noise canceling is excellent and the BQ/comfort is great. Can this headset use for Cessna 172?BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has the twin plugs.I have tried a few headsets purchased the H10-13.4 due to it's ability to fit over my big head and ears. Are the ear cups the same size? Are they interchangeable with the 13.4?BEST ANSWER: These ear cups are different but still made to fit entire ear inside. Headband is highly adjustable, should fit anyone. I too went from H10-13.4 to these. I like these very much.
