Even my ubiquitous DC DNR doesn't cover my ear completely. The Zulu 3 is supremely comfortable and unbelievably quite when the DNR is engaged. And the BlueTooth lets me hear the alerts and warnings that my iPad/ForeFlight produces. It has a mic gain setting to match it to your airplane/intercom/radio, etc.
Super comfy, great audio, the only negative is that the mic boom seems a little flimsy, but then it's the same on all the leading headsets. Went Zulu 3 route because I have the PFX and my wife is plenty satisfied with the Zulu 3. Believe that Lightspeed offers the best product on the market, for sure. Please contact Sportys and we can explain how to adjust the clamping force.The friction on my mic boom has weakened over the last year, and falls below my mouth after 20 minutes of flight. I did not see anything in the manual that spoke about adjusting the boom friction.What is the decibel rating on the ANR and Passive?BEST ANSWER: Passive headset usually reduces the DB by 23-25 DB.
