Bad Elf fixed the GPS problem immediately. As documented elsewhere: as long as the Bad Elf application is open the GPS is working correctly. Sometimes after closing the cover one needs to foreground the Bad Elf application first, make sure velocity/position show up (and are not just dashes) then switch to PokemonGo and GPS position is updated.June 2, 2018Purchased

The accuracy is terrible compared to other items on the market. While driving down the road it shows me off to the side of the road. The lag on the MPH is slow. While turning it on it seems to take forever to find the satellites to start functioning. It really is just for entertainment.February 21, 2018Purchased

Some extra care is needed not to damage it as it protrudes from the connector.January 25, 2018Purchased

The only drawback is it plugs into your power connection so if your flight is long or if your iPad is low on power it could be an issue. Just recently purchased from Amazon a connector that allowed me to Y off to the Bad elf unit and then also go into the power connection.July 31, 2017Purchased

1 year agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Bad Elf Good ElfI use Bad Elf gps for my iPad with WingXPro. The external gps attaches to the iPad (and iPhone) and stays there. Previously, I used Bad Elf with an older iPad, and, the connection wasn't very secure. The new connection is significantly better than the old version of the product. This gps is extremely accurate and reliable. It can be attached to a charger while in use (cable provided in the box). So, you never need to worry about battery availability during a long flight. It's a good Elf!March 22, 2017
