Did you know when you buy two (one for pilot the other for co-pilot), only the pilot can listen to an external media source -or the alternatively just the co-pilot, but never both paired to the same source? My recommendation: Save yourself the money, skip the bluetooth option and operated them old-school w/ no bluetooth and play your music directly through the intercom. This is an unadvertised Bose dirty little secret, and after calling them, they still couldn't commit to any software updates to enable these headsets to act in multi-point bleutooth ops.November 12, 2019Purchased

1 year agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesSound quality is amazingI ordered two of BOSE A-20 headsets, one for me and the other for my wife. I also ordered the Bluetooth Option, which I would recommend as well. The noise canceling is amazing and the sound quality is as well. I flew three legs of about 3 hours each from Boston to Mississippi and once you put them on, you really don't know you are wearing them. They are light, they don't feel like you are having your ears compressed and they work fantastically well. They aren't cheap, but neither is your airplane, so my thought here is that spend the money, invest in this headset and you won't regret the purchase.November 4, 2019Purchased

I am glad I also spent the extra money for the Bluetooth capability. I love having the option to connect my iPhone to the headset. Hands down the most comfortable headset with the highest quality audio I used. On the higher end of the price scale but it is worth every penny. YOur aviation headset is probably the most important investment in your flight bag. I recommend spending the extra money to get the Bose A20 with Bluetooth.October 19, 2019Purchased

The bose headset it has the normal comm chord that connectinto your airplane. The bluetooth is to your iPhone or iPad. So the blue tooth fantastic for listening to music on your phone. The only thing i might say is to think hard if you want the typical two pin plugs connections. In which case the noise cancellation on off switch runs off batteries. You have to change them about every 10 hours or so. Or if your plane has the one pin option for your headset,(the round six pen) , it will supply power to the headset and you needn't worry about batteries ever. As soon as you push the noise cancellation button and the drone of the engine goes away, you will forget you paid a grand for these! Fly safe. How tight are these headsets? I am a petite person but find that most of the discomfort from headsets is how tight they press against your head and subsequently, against what i would assume is my glands under my ear right behind my jaw. After a while, ugh! Does anyone have any experience with changing to Bose to relieve that pressure or recommend another brand altogether?BEST ANSWER: Andi,
I have owned and used a variety of headsets over the years. I purchased a two Bose A20's last July. They are very comfortable. I understand the "pinching" problem that can occur with other headsets and I feel that this is completely a non-issue with the Bose A20's. I flew 24 hours in March of this year, including several flights greater than 4 hours in duration. I used the A20 exclusively and had nothing but excellent results.Do you offer a CFI discount like mypilotstore?Does the headset work when the batteries die?BEST ANSWER: If you let the AA batteries full deplete, the Bose A20 will still continue to function as a normal passive noise attenuation headset. Any ideas?BEST ANSWER: I've flown with these in a C-172S and had no issues hearing the stall horn with the ANR turned on.
