Super Lightweight!I bought these with some hesitancy based off of all the research I did on various outlets. The 30 day money back guarantee coupled with the PayPal 6 months interest free is the only reason I decided to give these a try. First it’s worth noting I’m on the 737. I have been nothing but pleased with the headset. They are super lightweight, ANC is really good, and I haven’t had any issues with them sliding around on my head. I use the clips provided and use one on the rail and one on my eppellet. I did try the tap function and thought that it sucked and needs attention in future models. It was very finicky and would randomly turn off/on. If I need to talk to a flight attendant or have a Capt that still uses the old ear dck then I take the left one out and hang it on the provided hook which works out great. The blue tooth function that muted the volume when the mic is keyed works great as well. Packing it up when the flight is over takes a little getting used too but I didn’t think it was a show stopper. They’re not built like the over the ear headsets for durability what they’re also a fraction of the weight so take your pick on what you want. I take care of my stuff and don’t throw them around so works well for me.February 15, 2019Purchased
1 month agoDurability3 / 5Performance2 / 5Ease Of Use1 / 5Value1 / 5Would You Recommend?NoI want my A20 backI am terribly dissatisfied with the new ProFlight headset. I have been flying with the Bose A20 for more than 5 years now in various cockpits, from single engine pistons to medium jets. I thought the ProFlight headset must be the future generation of headsets when it comes to jet cockpits, hence the decision to buy it and say goodbye to my trusty A20. After two flights and about 12 hours, I packed it back in its box and requested a refund. After only about 2 or 3 hours the earpieces created pressure points now matter how I tried to adjust it (and yes I tried all of the provided sizes). The other intrinsic problem that I didn't foresee is the penalty that you pay for the headset being as light as it is- the cable connecting to it is still heavy and quite rigid (I tried every single clipping point that I could think of to anker it somehow) so with every head movement it just shifts ever so slightly on your head so it means you have to take your hands of whatever you are doing to adjust the headset or the mic, not tho mention a messed up hairdo. On a more personal note, the in-ear concept just isn't for me. I don`t mind listening to music or the transmissions but it just sounds terrible when you hear yourself speaking into the mic. I love Bose products in general so I am really disappointed and sad that I spent so much money on something that really under performed in my opinion.February 11, 2019Purchased

I can’t get the double tap option to work, but maybe it is something I’m not doing right. Much smaller footprint than the A20s, and works really well in the Embraer.February 3, 2019Purchased

As others have said the cord is way too big and heavy so it pulls of your head, the mic is no good, the ear buds hurt after while (this is ear dependent however) the ANR is weird. Low is actually amplified ambient, medium was ok and max was just a little louder? Bose missed the mark.January 14, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesSkeptic became a convertPleasantly surprised... I was a bit skeptical of the design, especially flying with people who were already using it, but I decided to take the plunge anyways... And wow! Very impressed.
Its biggest advantage is also one of its disadvantages. The headest itself is so extraordinarily light, you'll completely forget you're wearing it... I know people say that about a lot of headsets, but I really mean it with this thing. It's so very comfortable... That being said, the cord/mic attachment is heavier than the headset, so unless you have it clipped perfectly to distribute the weight, the cord will sometimes pull the headset around a bit on your head. Let me tell you, that is a minor inconvenience, but it exists.
I've worn the headset on 14 hour legs and 3 hour legs, and have been very pleased with both! The Bluetooth mix/mute functionality works flawlessly... You can even make phone calls directly from the headset via Bluetooth to get the hotel van headed your way when you block in.
After a bit of getting used to how the headset behaves, you'll fall in love with it immediately. Worth every penny!December 20, 2018Purchased

I have been using the Bose proflight for work on the B-757 and B-767 for the last couple of months and I must admitt that I am a bit dissapointed . The headset fits well and is easy to wear on legs up to 9 hours . However there is a big problem with the noise cancellation.........It normally starts out fine, but during cruize it starts making some "cracking" noises and shuts down. I then have to reset it ....plug-in and plug-out to get it to work again but the problem normally repeats itself ! I have tried the different size earplugs as the manual suggests but no luck. I also find the storage-case wich the unit comes in to very bulky for this type of a headset. I reverted to using it with the "noise cancellation" turned off and thats a clear dealbreaker for a headset with this price-tag.December 12, 2018Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesI’ve used the lightspeed mach1 for years and I’ve always loved how lightweight and comfortable it was but was not noise canceling and the durability was poor. This headset has all the things I loved in the mach1 and fixed all the things that I didn’t making this the headset I will probably have for the rest of my Aviation career.November 24, 2018Purchased
3 months agoDurability4 / 5Reliability4 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesGreat comfortable headset.I have been using it on the B-737 for 6 flights. So far it has been great! It’s light and comfortable and the ANR is awesome. I read many reviews prior to ordering and was concerned about some of the complaints. I would agree with some of the gripes: cord is heavy and can pull the headset around on your head, tap control doesn’t work well, but I’ve found these are very minor annoyances that can easily be overcome and are far outweighed by the comfort of this headset. It really only took one or two legs to figure out how to attach the wire so it doesn’t pull on the headset and the tap feature doesn’t have to be on. It is so convenient to remove one earbud to hear a jumpseater or whatever. I select high on the ANR and it is super quiet. I’m sticking with this headset and highly recommend it.October 31, 2018Purchased
4 months agoDurability2 / 5Reliability2 / 5Performance2 / 5Ease Of Use2 / 5Value1 / 5Would You Recommend?NoNot ready for prime timeI bought the ProFlight at OSH. Have been using it in a B737 since (about 300 hrs of use). Yes, it's light and comfortable. I haven't had the problem others describe with it moving around on my head, but I clip the cord to my epaulet. Here are the problems 1) I haven't found the earbud size that keeps it in my ear. Constantly have to keep pushing it back in. ANR is not great. I have a QC20, and those earbuds fit perfectly and the ANR is much better. 2) Must be VERY careful changing the tips. They are held on the plastic earpiece by little barbs, and it's very easy to break off those barbs, and then you're screwed. 3) The microphone is supposed to be set with the white dot towards your mouth, but mine was mounted with the white dot AWAY from the mouth. Have to twist the boom 180 degrees to position it correctly. It doesn't want to stay there, so I'm constantly twisting the boom to keep the microphone positioned correctly. 4) Wind muff on the mic refused to stay on. I finally secured it with an o-ring. 5) By far the most irritating problem is, during takeoff and landing, the ANR turns on and off randomly, especially if there is a thump like the nose wheel hitting a centerline light. Obviously distracting during critical phase of flight.
Lesson learned: Never buy the A-model of anything, I guess. A nice idea, but they need to work out a lot of bugs. I guess I'll be returning it.October 28, 2018Great in a CirrusLove the headset and functionality. Using in a Cirrus SR22T and noise reduction works great. Really like they sent 3 sets of ear sizes.September 30, 2018Purchased
