- Material appears to be generally long lasting
- When extended, this tow bar is longer than the original one and therefore easier to tow the plane without conflicting with exhaust and prop
- Overpriced, for the money I would have at least expected some good foam/rubber handles and plastic tube caps
- Just extending the rod once after unpacking led to visible and unavoidable scratches on the center tube so I cannot return it!
- The spring mechanism works well but requires a strong hand. In a flight school it's likely that not everyone has that
- Upon collapsing it the center tube conflicts with the spring and requires cautious handling. I will have see how many student pilots the spring will survive
- When collapsed, the center tube also conflicts with the holding end which means it cannot be put into the wall holder inside the plane - at least not without a lot of awkward trouble, and even then it makes no sense because when collapsed the tow bar is too short for the wall holder strap!
- The connecting pin has a finger ring that has sharp edges, poor/missing finishing
If I get bad usability feedback about this tow bar then I will buy a new one - but certainly not this one.October 12, 2019Purchased
3 weeks agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesIt works perfectly. I only suggest two tweaks...the upper an lower half should be a little tighter so it isn't so sloppy, and just above the connection points, it should have some padding to protect wheel pants in case of an accidental drop. Other than that, its great.April 12, 2019Purchased

As I read, my experience is the same with the pin holders just a bit off. Still usable, and with a little adjusting seems to work good enough to get my plane in and out of the hanger. I'd still recommend the product, just know that you may have to make some minor adjustments to line up the pin holders.May 26, 2017Durability4 / 5Reliability4 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value4 / 5Nice towbarOnly complaint is lock pin holes need to be debarred.January 3, 2017Durability4 / 5Reliability4 / 5Performance4 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value4 / 5October 7, 2016

I have a towbar that fits a Cessna 210 but the gripping part/tube is too small for the axle nut.BEST ANSWER: I don't use it on a 180, on use it on a Cessna 182....I'm estimating here, I think it is a little narrow for what you are wanting to use it for- but I am not positive. The metal is lightweight also, if you were using it on something too wide, I think it would be hard on this tow bar (not good for the metal clasp).Does it fit into the wall holder inside a C172(S)?BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will fit inside the 172.Hi, will it work for a 172RG ?
