having the plugs come apart, etc...as an airplane owner, comfort is king and the DC does well there, also. My airplane partner has another brand (rhymes with hose) and I much prefer
the One-X. Sound, comfort and noise attenuation all seem better on my DC and I saved over $200. My wife liked it so much more than the Bos..., um, I mean other headsets in the plane that we bought one for her,September 12, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesExcellent!Very comfortable, lots of adjustment range. They are much more comfortable for me than my Bose-X headsets (I have two Bose-X headsets). The bose headset does not have enough headband extension for my big head, so the ear cups were always riding on my earlobe. The DCs expand enough that the ear cup can rest comfortably around my ear. The noise cancelling is excellent and because of the better fit on me, much better than my Bose-X. And, you get the legendary Dave Clark customer service to at no extra charge!August 17, 2019Purchased

Fits her and my wife well. They won’t let me try it. The way it folds up and the carry bag is nice and convenient. Takes up less space then other headsets in a flight bag. My daughter turns it on and off easily by herself.July 24, 2019Purchased

4 months agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesGreat headsetI have flown about 50 hours in a RV12 with these and loved them. The longest flight was about 3 hours and I found them very comfortable. I personally like the ANR on these better than the A20s. I will say the ANR is slightly more effective on the A20s. But the David Clarks had a better balance letting in the noises that I wanted to hear. I definitely believe it to be very hard to judge between the top 3 headsets. But for me I like the DCs.May 14, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesVery comfortableLight and comfortable headset. Too noisy for comfortable comm without over the ear design. I don’t miss any calls now :-)Bluetooth pairing is a little too hard to pair, but I never use that feature. Plus, the DC is a classic and professional look. Very nice.March 28, 2019Purchased
7 months agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesTurboprop userI read a few favorable reviews on the One-X and decided to give them a try. I currently have Bose A20 and recently tried the Bose ProFlight. Only have a few flights so far in a Meridian and a couple in the Bonanza but I have to say I like this headset. More comfortable than I expected and the audio quality is good. I like the volume buttons for left and right.
So how do they compare to the A20's? Both with ANR, the sound is different with the ONE-X, I think you will hear a little more outside the headset noise, but so far, I would say the audio quality of the One-X seems clearer or maybe cleaner, but can be pretty subjective. They are comfortable and don't have the weight you would typically expect with DC. Tighter around the ear vs the A20's. That might bother some people, not me. I haven't had one of those 3 hour trips so I can't speak to the longer flight comfort. So far, I like them and will probably pack both the A20's and One-X to do more comparison. DC is a great brand and they have made a good step with One-X.
If your curious about my Bose ProFlight experience in a Meridian, I tried them for a couple of months and while the comfort is fantastic, I think they area really a jet headset. The lack of any volume control drives you crazy and the audio quality in a turboprop is lacking in my opinion.March 21, 2019Purchased

My problem is not noise but fuzzy audio. Will this work with the David Clark K10 helmet?BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately it will not fit directly into the helmet. That being said it is only the headset earcup shape that prevents this from happening. If you are handy I don't believe it would be very difficult to add enough material such that the One-X would fit into the helmet.

The David Clark DC One-X uses the same electronics pkg as the David Clark DC Pro. I have around 8,500hrs of flight time and currently fly as captain on a Legacy 600.
