On ear is great with glasses
works great! I bought it for the on-ear design (instead of over the ear), thinking it would be easier with taking glasses on and off. I was right - much easier than with the over ear Bose I tried before. Smaller than an over the ear design as well. Noise cancelling (both active and passive) are effective in a 737.Only knock is the case. Very cut-rate - almost like an afterthought. but, I'll get over it.

A bit cheaply made, but very comfortable and light.
First I’ll start by saying that I’m not sure why everyone says this headset isn’t for or isn’t ideal for GA aircraft. It works perfectly fine on a jet flight deck or in a Cherokee Six. The weight is wonderful, I can’t tell you how nice it is to go to a lightweight headset after wearing a bulky light speed sierra for over a year. Incredibly comfortable, especially if you wear glasses an on ear headset is so much nicer than an over ear as it’s always sealing. My big complaint is the ANC control box is bulky and looks very cheaply made compared to the lightspeed. The other problem is the battery cover. It’s a bad design. It’s easy to accidentally open, and it automatically removes the batteries! A simple standard remote control cover would have been much nicer/more ideal. I wish the headset was more expensive and a bit more polished. DC should really step up its game on essentially their flagship headset.

They are very comfortable and pack up small . The sound quality is superb. I did notice that once the batteries were low, I lost sound out of right ear . I recommend them for airline flying

They’re ok
Not sure Im sold on this headset. I gave it lower ratings for a few reasons. DCs are durable and solid....and I like the Bluetooth function and the noise cancelling feature. I fly long haul to ultra-long haul routes and have only worn them for one month so far. The better sound quality has helped with listening to HF radios and some really poor ATC controllers in the far corners of the world.

However I feel they pinch my ears while wearing my prescription glasses and after a few mins it becomes very annoying. I also grow tired of constantly fidgeting with them to get them to not pinch my ears between my glasses. Another thing I noticed is that they fall off my head when I look up at the overhead panel....they simply slide off the back of my head.

Not sure Id recommend. I bought these because the Bose headsets were too bulky and this was more of a compromise.

First flight
Had the first flight with this headset yesterday and really like them. Excellent noise attenuation and extremely comfortable fit. Waiting to see how they feel after a 10 hour flight. Like the Bluetooth connectivity and seems to work well. Have previously had Bose and Sennheiser products and this one seems to be the best so far.

So far, so good. My coworker has the same headset so it made sense to have 2 of the same for swapping seats. I like the ability to listen to music without it cutting out with the interrupt feature of the headset. Quiet enough for a Citation. A little pricey but in line with similar options. Better than the Telex 850 I've used for years.

Amazing headset
I am confused why this headset is listed by Sportys in the corporate pilot category. I flew a PA-32 on two 4 hour flights the first week I had the headset. I have never felt better after a flight that long. I had no issues with fit at all, and with the ANR on, the noise was very low, and communications were crystal clear. The durability and reliability ratings are projections based on inspection and the 28 years of use I obtained on a previous DC headset. I can't grasp why anyone would spend $500 more for headsets that weigh more and perform about the same. This will be my headset for life.

Great Headaet
A great headset! Even though it doesn't completely seal off the ear such as other headsets, it still achieves a good level of Noise reduction, this is especially important for me as I'm in a particularly noisy cockpit! Extremely lightweight and size makes it easy to fit into any bag! A great buy!

are the plugs compatible to Cessna 172 ?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They should be but this is not the DC model for a 172. You will be happier with an over ear fit to increase the passive noise cancelling. These are designed for turbo jet aircraft where the flight deck noise is much less.
Does it get uncomfortable after long use (1hr-2hrs)?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. I have found the headset to be very light, which was the main reason I looked at it after years of using a heavier H20-10, and comfortable. The headset does not get heavier with the day, and I have used them on transcons, the seals stay on the ear and are effective with the noise cancelling.
Does anyone fly a Caravan C208 I currently have the Bose A20 an long periods of time I get the clamping effect, Does the david clack over the better?
Allan F on Apr 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have been using the David Clark DC Pro-X in a Jetprop for several years. I also have the Bose A20 for use in a Vans and Saratoga that I fly. While I like the Bose, I find the same problem of ear discomfort with the Bose. Much less with the David Clark. I would highly recommend the David Clark for the Caravan. I'm guessing it has similar noise to the Jetprop. Too much noise to use headsets for the quieter turbojets. The bluetoothe phone including music works well.
