Would You Recommend?NoNot realistic for a Cessna 182 in MS Flight Simulator SteamI have calibrated it multiple times and tried even more times to play with the sensitivity, nulls, and realism to have the controls come reasonably close to a Cessna 182 in MS Flight Simulator Steam (on my Windows 10 laptop with strong graphics capability). They are way too unrealistic to use for take-offs and landings, but are halfway close for in-flight maneuvering, even with the simulator reflecting less power and speed than the real airplane.- Was this review helpful? Durability3 / 5Reliability3 / 5Performance3 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesGood inexspencive training tool. The product seems to ok for simple simulator, the input from the pedals is unpredictable, that makes training scores all over the place, however a still useful tool to help a newbie like me get a feel for the input movements needes to execute some maneuvers.- Was this review helpful? Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesThe best time waster I have ever seenAll the control surfaces function, but the rudder seems to be excessively responsive relative to the pedal movement when flying one of the small aircraft. It requires only one fourth of the pedal travel to give effectively full right/left travel of the rudder and nose wheel. However, when in a heavy aircraft the rudder is comparatively sluggish and requires full travel of the pedals to turn the rudder to the stops. Since I have never touched the controls of an actual aircraft, I have no point of reference if this simulation corresponds to the authentic effects. Regardless of this apparent inconsistency, the system is a lot of entertainment to play . As a side note,(just in case if you might be wondering) I am 83 in age and 18 in psyche. Best regards JRT- Was this review helpful? Yes (9) No (0)

Reliability2 / 5Performance4 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value2 / 5works for awhileThis is the second set I purchased. I bought the yoke and pedals from ch products. It works fine, but it seems that as soon as the guarantee runs out, the unit goes awry. The yoke steering gets really sensitive. It seems like the resistor which control the movement change value, get worn or dirty, or something. (yes I took the first one apart when it really got bad), I bought another one and this is doing the same thing. Re the foot pedals. I am currently having trouble with the brake system. it seems to lock and have to really step hard on the heel section to unlock the brakes. The rudder control works intermittently. am look for something more reliable. I did have the system for over 2 years before it went wonky.- Was this review helpful? Yes (3) No (1)

Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5I am now a believer in SimulationOkay, I felt compelled to write this review, hoping that it will help any other student pilots out there, or pilots in general. Before I got this setup, I was using a Logitech Joystick, which was fine, but certainly nothing in comparison to this setup. I have been working on my landings at the airport lately. Before I got this setup, I was always flaring too early. I started simulating with Xplane using this yoke and rudder setup, and was able to develop my flare in good timing. Today, I went to the airport and my instructor had me do touch and go's. I did 9 landings in a decent crosswind and my flare and landings improved drastically today. I really believe the hours I put into simulation with this setup made an improvement in my landings as a whole. Even my traffic pattern speeds, timing, checklists, etc.. improved because of the simulation. If you are a student pilot or you have our PPL and need some realistic training, I highly recommend this setup. For me, it's been worth every penny. I would suggest that when you use the sim with the yoke and rudder, to take it very seriously and use it as if you were in the cockpit. I start all my simulation with the engine off. I go through my checklists and taxi, takeoff, etc as if I were doing it at the airport. It has been a blessing for me to have hardware that is much more realistic than a joystick. The Rudders are sensitive, so I would recommend turning down the sensitivity on them. The Yoke was very realistic and responsive with no tweak in sensitivity. For the price, if your paying to learn weekly at the airport, this setup could save you some $ if you take the simulation seriously and use it for education and not for gaming. Just my opinions. I highly recommend this setup! Keep on Flying! Ian Student Pilot 3GV- Was this review helpful? Yes (15) No (1)

Seen that some sim yokes only turn 45 degrees. What is the freedom of movement this one?BEST ANSWER: If I understand what you are asking, then yes, the yoke only moves about 45 degrees either way. As I have only used it for flying GA aircraft that are non aerobatic, I do not feel this is a problem.- Reply
