The clip isn't large enough to clip down a volume of approach plates, but the plastic strap is solid enough to strap down a main page. Very versatile. It would be nice if the clipboard didn't slide out so easily when not under tension, but with anything strapped to the board it stays put.June 4, 2020Purchased

Nice wide Velcro strap and grommets for rings and plate sheets. About the size of an iPad mini. The clear vinyl strap is a good idea but I question the ability to hold the iPad due to the movement of my legs in flight. I haven’t flown with it yet as it’s still pretty cold here for open cockpit flying. I also purchased wire cable rings and a pack of vinyl plate sleeves. I give it several 5 stars on account. I’m hoping for the best.April 21, 2020Purchased

Very well designed, doesn’t interfere with the yoke, and very light weight. I recommend it.August 12, 2019Purchased

I just wish it didn’t have the rings and the chart book holder. I cut it off. Does anybody really use the government paper approach plate books any more?November 22, 2018Purchased

over 2 years agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesJust the right size!My husband and I both ordered these kneeboard. He had one that was over 30 years old and still functioning quite well. I was looking for something smaller than the standard kneeboard I'd gotten years ago with my initial flying package for getting my private pilot's license. We bought a Cessna 150, so space is limited, and these kneeboards do the trick, don't get in the way and allow for our customized checklists to be easily accessible without grabbing several resources or dropping anything on the floor. I would highly recommend these, especially to those with smaller stature.January 28, 2018Purchased

Can the top clamp be moved so I can adjust it for my being left handed?BEST ANSWER: The top clamp is not able to be moved.Have a narrow cockpit. Current kneeboard is aluminum and 6.5" wide, which is about 1.5" too wide for the space and gets in the way of stick control. How about this one -- how wide is it once wrapped around a leg? Is the clipboard rigid? If so, how wide is the rigid part?BEST ANSWER: It's narrow. 5 Inches wide and the clipboard is flexible. Fits tight around the leg. It won't get in your way. Cell phone fit?BEST ANSWER: The pocket is 3 in deep by 2 1/2 in wide. What is the length of the strap that goes around the thigh?BEST ANSWER: The strap is approximately 6" long on one side and 4" long on the other side. Wasn't sure if the clip on top or the strap across the middle would be too strong/tight and possibly damage a tablet. Thoughts???BEST ANSWER: I use this kneeboard with an iPad mini 4 and it's fantastic. I keep my iPad's standard case (opens like a book), and simply clip the flipped-back side of the case into the clipboard-clip at the top of the kneeboard. It's a nice minimalist feel. Maybe not 100% secure (you can't walk with it like this), but for in-cockpit use, it works great for me.can you remove eyelets? If I don't use ring charts,I would just like to remove that accessory to save room and bulk.BEST ANSWER: The eyelets are sewn into the fabric.
