I use it to get ATIS and clearance before I startup to save time on the ramp. I carry it in the plane as a spare com radio.January 3, 2018Purchased
1 year agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance4 / 5Ease Of Use4 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesI bought this mainly for novelty purposes. I live within 3 miles of a class Charlie airport. I can hear both sides of the conversation for tower/ground and most of the approach control controller/traffic.
It does come in handy for getting the ATIS and clearance without having to fire up the APU/avionics. Better step outside though, doesn’t transmit too great while inside buildings.
Great little radio!December 14, 2017Purchased
