Nice addition, excellent quality
Longer hex screws and lock washers were included with the mount. All I had to do is remove the existing screws, put the unit in place and tighten the screws. Couldn't be simpler. I'm not sure if Sporty's sent me an open box or not because the little plastic bag containing the screws was torn open and the plastic box containing the mount wasn't sealed. It didn't make any difference because I eventually found everything and there were no scratches or damage to any of the parts. The MGF mount is expensive if an iPad cover that mates to the Sport Mount is also needed. I opted to buy the kneeboard version for those times I fly something besides my S35. If I get a new iPad, I'll just get a cover that fits or the universal. The mount itself is really a nice piece of hardware. It has a single wing nut knob to secure all three articulation points. It only takes a moderate twist of the knob to make the thing rock solid. It takes a little bit of finesse to position the arm just right and then tighten the knob without letting things get out of control. Start out too loose, the arm is like a wet noodle, too tight and it's too hard to move things around. I have a dual yoke so the iPad is in the middle, right in front of the aileron trim and angled toward the left seat so it doesn't interfere with either control wheel. It took a bit of monkeying on the ground to figure out a reasonable position that didn't hide important things like the gear and flap indicator lights and gauges mounted in the mid-panel area. I found that it's important to make sure the iPad can be rotated in flight between vertical and horizontal orientation to get it out of the way for different flight phases. Loosening the knob to make an adjustment is possible but can get a little tricky. In my airplane, no matter where the iPad goes, something is going to be hidden or made harder to see. The middle of the yoke is a good spot but it does hide everything behind and below, like the nose gear up/down indicator. If you don't know by feel and muscle memory where all the controls are, this will be a great learning aid. I'll still wait to retract flaps until stopped though, I'd hate to retract the gear by mistake. It's possible to get a peek at the switches and controls but it takes a little more shifting in the seat and leaning than it does without the iPad in the way. The mount is quick install and quick release so it's easy to get the iPad out of the way completely. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that engine vibrations are transmitted to the iPad. It's not a huge vibration, just a tiny but very noticeable shake, especially at about 2500 RPM. It's one disadvantage to a very solid mount. Overall, I like the MGF system a lot, it looks great, not in the least like an afterthought or clunky add-on, worthy of being a part of my Bonanza.

Perfect For G35
I own a 1956 Bonanza with a crowded original panel. I have multiple tablets 8-10 in. iPad Pro 9.7 is my preference. Trying to find a stable mount that was accessible for pilot and copilot and didn’t block primary instruments and shielded a bit from glare took some time. Decided on this mount and universal bracket. It is perfect on my Cygnet dual yoke. Certainly not inexpensive but functionality makes it worthwhile. Others have commented about needing longer mounting screws and they are required but not a problem to locate. Haven’t owned long enough to really comment on durability but CNC machined aluminum should last. Fit and finish is excellent.

Will this work with a throw
over yoke?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will but may not be a very good option if you actually want to throw over the yoke. To do so, you would have to remove the iPad from the mount, loosen the mount adjustment knob, get the mount out of the way, rotate the yoke, and then reposition the mount and iPad. You could also adjust the mount to be out of the way but the iPad would hide your MP, FF, RPM or anything else you might need to see.
Is this mount compatible with a Baron BE58?
Tom M on May 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If you have a center column yoke, it should work, if you do and use the throw over, it will impede giving the yoke to your co pilot. You can still use the throw over function but it will take some readjusting of the mount. I have a dual so it’s no issue for me but the two controls do limit the size of the ipad, ;mine is an iPad Pro 9.7” and it barely fits without excessive interference in my Vtail.
