6 months agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesBetter than GATS!I had the original Blue Jeppesen fuel tester that this design mimics and is no longer in production. The reversible screwdriver, and most importantly, the metal push rod, is a MUST have, especially for older Mooneys with recessed fuel doors with flathead dzus fastner.
I lost my original Jeppesen fuel tester and replaced it with a GATS jar but the GATS is WAYY too big, doesnt have a screwdriver, and because of its size, takes longer to air-dry and leaves the cabin of my plane smelling of fuel
While this mimics the Jeppesen design, its missing some key features. The Jeppesen had a little view-port magnifying window on the bottom, and a seperate "cup" that slid over the collar to capture splash from hitting your hands, which was VERY handy. This doesnt have those two key features so its not AS nice, but since its the ONLY small model with a metal push pin AND screwdriver, its the best on the market today. My $40 GATS Jar is about to get hocked off to the next student pilot I find.January 21, 2020Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesExcellent fuel testerI was needing a fuel tester that had a steel stab instead of a plastic. This one works well!December 26, 2019Purchased

Never had that problem before with other testers I’ve owned.October 7, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesOctober 7, 2019Purchased

Also, the metal rod is just a tad short for a couple of the drains under the 172's.April 25, 2019Durability4 / 5Reliability1 / 5Performance1 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value1 / 5Would You Recommend?NoDoesn't show blue!Great design, and the only narrow tester with a metal rod, but as others have commented, USELESS since shows 100LL as clear when the cheap cup with metal shows the correct blue.April 3, 2019Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesEasy to useWorks well, just be careful as the rod will slip out.January 2, 2019Purchased

1 year agoDurability4 / 5Reliability1 / 5Performance1 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?NoBlue shows as clearBought this because I wanted a tester with a metal pole. Everything works as expected, but for some unknown reason my 100LL fuels does not show as blue in this tester. Before anyone says I had water, I drained from the same tanks using to other testers first and they clearly show blue. Tries it many times always with same result. I can’t risk trying to determine whether I have water or a faulty tester before each flight so sticking to the gats jar I also have.November 3, 2018
