VFR corridors are straightforward
We made a recent flight from Sedona to St. George via the Tuckup corridor. The map contains the latitude/longitude of entry points - you just need to enter these into your GPS as custom waypoints, and then you can easily fly between them. Map contains the altitudes to use northbound & southboudn. We used Phoenix approach for flight following until it was time to self-announce & monitor the common traffic frequency for the special flight rules area. The Tuckup corridor was empty the day we went (a Monday early in May), but we could hear some commercial traffic self-announcing in other areas.

ForeFlight has the Grand Canyon Special Flight Rules Area map, but you have to zoom in so close to see it that it's pretty much a 1-inch-equals-1-inch view of the canyon. Having a paper chart for use in planning and flying makes things easier to see the big picture.

Chart currency
Keep in mind that this particular FAA chart, unlike most other FAA charts/products, does not have a regularly scheduled currency revision. The Grand Canyon VFR aeronautical chart is revised only as the FAA deems necessary as a new edition. The current edition is #3 from April 19th, 2001. However, as with most other FAA aeronautical charts, consolidated major updates of chart changes are available every 56 days in the chart supplement which can be found online in the aeronautical chart bulletin section of the FAA's website.

Has not changed since 2001
Everything about the process and the product is just great. Expedited shipping worked like a charm. The one IMPORTANT detail: the Grand Canyon SFAR chart is still the 2001 edition. I ordered the chart to have the freshest data. Well, the data is the same there is in the 2001 chart I already owned... somehow, my web search did not reveal that the chart had not changed; Sporty's site does not tell you the chart date. Buyer beware!

Just what I needed and expected. It doesn't matter to me when it was printed, the information is still relevant and current.

Cons: This chart is several years old, and is to be considered "obsolete and not to be used for navigation" according to the chart itself in the words of the government. It should be mentioned that you are buying a several year old, out of date chart. I already had a copy of the old Grand Canyon chart, I was ordering a current edition, based on the info from the website. Instead, I received a copy just like I had, which is several years out of date.

Pros: Has all of the info one would need to fly over the Grand Canyon safetly, as well as in compliance with the Grand Canyon SFAR. Cons: You may only use this chart once, depending on proximity to grand canyon, how often you fly, etc. But still a must if flying over the Grand Canyon.

Pros: Shows VFR Corridors across Grand Canyon - often not included in electronic charts. Cons: It is a paper chart If you fly across Grand Canyon, you need this information. It is NOT included in some electronic chart applications. Lots of restricted space to 14,500 ft.
