Overcasters™ are lightweight, clip-on visors that attach to any prescription eyeglass or sunglass frame in seconds. When flipped down they create a "simulated instrument" condition by blocking external position references outside the plane while maintaining the view of the panel. Works, but...
I think the clip-on mechanism is a good idea and works well; once it's clipped on you can safely pop it up and down which is very convenient - good idea.
What I absolutely don't like is that there is no simple but sturdy carrying case - given the fragile material and that the side flaps for some reason cannot be folded in (what a wasted opportunity to produce an almost flat construction!) I'm worried that it won't last long. I have a good number of different cases for glasses, all of them are too small for this device so I need to find my own custom solution - that should have really been thought through.
Add hinges to the side flaps and provide a sturdy carrying case, then it's a better product and actually worth the money.

Junk
These things are junk and don't buy them. Cut off center a bunch and crooked. And so floppy they are junk. Don't waste your money and no way these are worth $20. What a rip-off. They are also all bent up in shipping (smashed, etc)...

They work pretty well. You can see around them a little bit, but not enough to see what is happening without keeping your eyes on the panel. The flip up feature is nice and you can flip them up and out of the way when you come off instruments to visual. So far so good

There are better choices
The overcasters were rather flimsy and didn't work well for my purposes, they may be better if you don't need trifocals. I was able to see for reading but midrange, for instance looking across the cockpit at my MFD was out of focus. They did limit the view appropriately but I'm not sure how durable they will be.

So much better than foggles
Unlike foggles which give horrible glare when you fly into the sun and also are no fun to put on and off... these flip-ups are awesome. The view-limiting aspect is quite complete, no glare, and of course the flip-up as you go "visual" is super easy.

The overcasters do their job, view limiting. Are not heavy on the head as are other devices and they don't push on the headset.
$20 for a piece of flimsy plastic with eyeglass attachments is not warranted.
