Powered by a pair of General Electric TF-34 turbojet engines and boasting large wings, the aircraft has excellent wing loading and maintains an excellent power-to-weight ratio. Attributing to an excellent battlefield presence, it may not be extremely fast, but it is extremely agile. Quickly maneuvering to each target, the Warthog can swiftly launch a guided missile or volley of 30mm bullets. Across the belly of the plane are over a dozen weapons pylons, 14 to be exact, with up to 16,000 lbs of capacity overall. With these, anti-tank guided missiles, air-to-air missiles, guided bombs, napalm bombs, iron bombs, and even 20mm gunpods can be carried in almost any combination.

Painted with the historic livery of the Memphis Belle, this A10 flies as an aerial display in homage to those who flew on the prestigious B-17F that flew on 25 missions and helped destroy the German war industries in WWII. Flown by Capt. Lindsay “Mad” Johnson out of David-Monthan AFB, this decorated thunderbolt stands in fond memory of those who risked their lives for our safety nearly a century ago.
