History and Specifications:
First to be created of the new line, MAX 8 aircraft are intended to replace the 737-800 in active service. Compared to its predecessor, each one features new split wingtips for increased efficiency and an extended fuselage, allowing for up to 210 passengers. Powered by two CFM Leap-1B engines, each aircraft boasts 14% lower maintenance costs and 20% fuel savings over their predecessors while being 50% quieter in flight. Cruising speed at up to 521mph with an official range of 4,000 miles, service ceiling is claimed to be 41,000 ft. Delivered in 2024 and dedicated to brave members of the United States military, this unique livery was created by some of the hardworking service technicians of Alaska Airlines. Proudly displaying the airline’s Fallen Soldier Program crest on the rear fuselage with an attractive red, white, and blue color scheme, it speaks confidence and pride from above.
