American Airlines Airbus A321 "Allegheny Livery" Die-Cast Model

One of the premier offerings from Airbus, the A321 is intended to compete with other aircraft of the type such as the Boeing 737 Max. Featuring a single aisle narrow body design with two engines, it can carry nearly 200 passengers onboard. Intended to reduce overall costs, operators are expected to purchase higher quantities of aircraft rather than larger alternatives. Traveling up to 3,700 miles non-stop, the A321 has capacity for up to 185 passengers and 2 crew members. Powered by two CFM-56 engines generating a combined 64,000 lbs of thrust, the aircraft can reach an altitude ceiling of 39,800 ft, top speed of 544mph, and maximum weight of 206,100 lbs.

Unveiled in 2023 by American Airlines, this retro themed A321 fulfils medium range and capacity flights for its operator as a homage to its past, with Allegheny Airlines. Registered as N579UW, it underwent weeks of paintwork before taking to the air once again, featuring colorful blue and orange accents on the tail. Die-Cast version has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and detailed landing gear for display. Measures 4.5”l with a 3.5“ wingspan at 1:400 scale.
