Course Pairs Sporty’s Flight Review with PilotWorkshops’ Real World VFR
Sporty’s has combined two powerful training programs into one comprehensive offering: Real World Flight Review. This new course pairs Sporty’s acclaimed Flight Review online video course with PilotWorkshops’ Real World VFR program, creating the most complete and practical flight proficiency resource available today.
Whether you are preparing for a flight review or simply working to stay proficient, Real World Flight Review covers both the knowledge and the skills every pilot needs. Sporty’s Flight Review course provides more than two and a half hours of 3D animations and in-flight video to refresh essential topics like regulations, weather, aeromedical factors, and airspace. Pilots can test their knowledge with quizzes and, upon successful course completion, earn a ground training endorsement that satisfies the required one hour of ground instruction for a flight review.
To complement this comprehensive knowledge and skills review, PilotWorkshops’ Real World VFR program brings flying to life with ten virtual, real-world flights, each delivered like a complete flight lesson. Every virtual scenario begins with a thorough briefing, followed by the full flight in real time, and concludes with a detailed debrief. From landing at Boston Logan in a Cessna Skyhawk to navigating the Hudson River VFR Corridor, pilots ride along on the flight deck for challenging situations. This experience is complete with ATC communication and expert commentary. Skill sessions accomplished in a simulator provide additional training on advanced maneuvers, emergencies, and night operations.
By combining Sporty’s structured training with PilotWorkshops’ practical, real-world flying, Real World Flight Review gives pilots the tools to complete their flight review requirements and build lasting confidence in the aircraft.
Real World Flight Review is delivered on all major platforms, including web browser, iPhone/iPad, Android, AppleTV, and Roku. Successful completion qualifies the user for FAA WINGS credit, and access is valid for two years.
