History and Specifications:
Redesigned with additional payload capacity and range, the Boeing 767-400ER is a mid-size airliner that was introduced in 2000. Produced for launch customers Delta Airlines and United Airlines, the first example was delivered on February 24th, 2001. Though initially ordering 26 units, United Airlines received 16 examples, while Delta purchased and received 21 units of the aircraft. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW4000 or General Electric CF6 engines, the 767-400ER is rated for a top speed of 559 mph and a range of 6,473 miles. Fitted with up to 243 seats, it features a two-aisle configuration with either 6 or 7 passengers abreast. Ending production in 2010 with just 38 completed, most 767-400s are still active with Delta and United, while just one further example belongs to Bahrain Royal Flight.
