Simply install the new scenery and plan a flight for I69. If you land between noon and 2pm on Saturdays, you can taxi up to the ramp and see our famous charcoal grill.
The Clermont County Airport was dedicated on October 13, 1968, as a public-use airport with the identifier I69 or India Six Niner. Three years after the airport went active, Sporty’s Pilot Shop moved into a small building on the southwestern corner of the airport. Twenty-eight years later, in 1990, Sporty’s built a new building on the eastern side of the runway, which is now home to Sporty’s store, warehouse, and flight school. Further expansion included the Tri-State Warbird Museum on the west side of the airport, which is home to nine World War II-era aircraft, including a Stearman Model 75, B-25 Mitchell, and P51D Mustang (appropriately named the “Cincinnati Miss”), which can be seen outside the hangar. I69 offers 3,566 feet of asphalt with two-light PAPIs for both runway 4 and 22.
