Defense of the carrier fleet.

The F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, long-range, high endurance interceptor fighter aircraft operated by the US Navy as their primary air superiority fighter and to defend is carrier battle group against anti-ship missiles. Operated by two crew members, the Tomcat features variable geometry wings that move automatically to provide the best flight performance in the given situation. US Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 103 (VFA-103) adopted the Jolly Rogers nickname in 1995 for the sinister white skull-crossbones on all-black tails, which were then painted on their F-14's. Providing support in the Yugoslav Wars and Afghanistan, their last deployment with this aircraft was aboard the USS John F Kennedy in the Persian Gulf. Returing home for their final cruis in 2004 with the F-14 Tomcat, they began to transition to the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Measuring 5”l with a 2.75” wingspan at 1:160 scale, this die-cast model features an authentic paint scheme, etched panel lines, and pad printed decals. Arrives fully built and painted with an included display stand.
