F-16C Fighting Falcon Olympos Die-Cast Model

Honoring 80 years of the Hellenic Air Force’s 336th Bomber Squadron, this F-16 was unveiled in 2023 with a decorative Olympos design. Established on February 25th, 1943, the 336th has flown aircraft such as the F-84F Thunderstreak, A-7E Corsair, F-104G Starfighter, and now the active F-16C/D Fighting Falcon. First in the world to operate the Block 52+ Advanced specification, the Hellenic Air Force currently utilizes the F-16C/D for multirole combat, with access to modern air-to-surface AGM-154 JSOW and AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles. Spread across their combat groups, more than Fighting Falcons comprise the inventory of Greece’s combat arsenal, replacing aging A-7E Corsair units instead of the rival Eurofighter for the time being.

History and Specifications:
Pioneering new technologies in aerospace engineering, the Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon was the first fighter jet with direct hydraulic or electronic control surfaces, the first aerodynamically unstable aircraft to see production, and one of the fastest single engine aircraft in the world. Flying at speeds up to 1,345mph, altitudes over 50,000ft, and more than 1,400 miles of combat range, it is highly maneuverable and well equipped for ground-attack and air-to-air engagements. Receiving numerous upgrades in the last few decades, the aircraft has since become a hallmark of aviation engineering.
