F-16V Fighting Falcon “Yellow Viper” Die-Cast Model

Developed in the 1970s by Lockheed Martin as a single engine, multirole combat fighter for the USAF, the F-16 was immediately received with high praise. Incorporating an aerodynamically unstable configuration and fly-by-wire control system, the advanced jet was prepared to take on even the most powerful adversaries. Since 1973, over 4,600 of the type have been manufactured, with modern variants still in service across the globe.

Pioneering new technologies, Lockheed's F-16 was the first fighter jet to have direct hydraulic or electronic control surfaces, and the first aerodynamically unstable aircraft to see production. It also boasted an extreme power to weight ratio and excellent maneuvering G-Force limits even with fuel and weapons onboard. Intended to perform multi-role combat duties, each aircraft features 6 underwing pylons and 3 underbody pylons, supported by 2 wingtip launchers. Across these configurations, a maximum of 6 air-to-air missiles or 4 air-to-ground weapons can be carried, with up to 3 fuel tanks depending on the combat loadout. Additionally, an internal M61 Vulcan 20mm Gatling gun with 512 rounds of ammunition is placed in the left side of the front fuselage, necessary for close in combat. 

Known as “Four of a Kind” with registration #6666, this F-16 ‘V’ block 70 variant is the most advanced development of the program. Upgraded with an improved systems computer, off-the-shelf avionics controls, and high-capacity datalink transmission, it is the ultimate Fighting Falcon to grace the skies. Painted with a bright yellow primer coat from the factory, this F-16 was prepared for the Hualien 401st Tactical Wing's colors. Die-Cast version features engraved panel lines, pad printed decals, authentic livery, and accurate attachable weaponry or fuel tanks. Also includes optional landing gear and display stand to show the aircraft in flight. Measures 8.25” in length with a 5.25" wingspan at 1:72 scale.
