The all-new Flight Gear Backup Battery is the pilot’s answer for charging mobile devices on the flight deck. This “baby brother” of the original 20,000mAh battery is less than half the weight and about the size of an iPhone X. All while still providing pilots the charging capabilities they demand. 

This battery still packs some serious power, 10,000mAh of capacity to be exact, but its slim shape will fit in any flight bag or pocket. The updated design offers four separate options to charge your device. The built in lightning and USB-C cables provide power to every type of mobile phone or tablet. They easily store within the battery's external case and ensure you never forget a charging cable. A USB-A port offers compatibility with longer cables and the front of the battery features wireless charging with MagSafe technology rated for 15W.

Made for pilots

Any time you add an electronic device to the cockpit you run the risk of interference with the radios. We’re very concerned about that problem, so we’ve tested the Flight Gear Battery pack in multiple aircraft and through hundreds of flight hours to ensure that it won’t become a nuisance in the plane.

You always have cables

The flight gear backup battery includes the most popular cables used in aviation, built into the battery. The Lightning cable and USB-C cable will be readily available to charge any phone or tablet for the day’s mission. The included USB-A to USB-C cable can be used to charge the battery (via the batteries USB-C port) or you can plug the built in USB-C cable into a wall charger to recharge the battery.

Safety features

The microprocessor inside the battery constantly monitors the battery health for any concerns. In the event of a problem, the battery will shut down until the issue is resolved. The Flight Gear battery protects against these issues:

Intelligent charging

The Flight Gear Battery detects the optimal charging current for any connected device and delivers that amount of power. This saves the battery power and more efficiently charges your devices.

The USB-C port on the battery doubles as an In or Out charging port. Based on the connection detected, the battery will either accept power from the charging cord if it’s plugged into a power source or the same port can deliver power if the battery detects that there is a device requiring a charge connected to the cord.
