Flashlight features:
The Flight Gear LED Flashlight is constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum. A focusing bezel provides both flood and spotlight options. Independent buttons for both red and white light mean you won’t have to scroll thru one to get to the other. In addition, if one color of light is on and you want to switch to the other, the first color automatically shuts off. Both colors have a high and low setting, and they are pilot-friendly organized.
Logging night flight and landings can be confusing. This is why we printed the two most relevant FARs to flying at night right on the body of the light.
Headlamp features:
This headlamp features an independent switch for the red LEDs that controls two levels of brightness. The low-level red LED is ideal when you just need a touch of illumination in the cockpit. The high-level red LED is great to brighten up a larger space inside the plane still without adversely affecting your night vision.
The other button on the headlamp controls the white LEDs. When you do need maximum brightness, the Flight Gear Headlamp delivers. The first press of the button turns on the bright white floodlight. Perfect for pre-flight, you can see a wide view panorama of your surrounding area. With a second press of that button, the light changes to a spotlight function. Great for shining a direct light on your subject. A third press of the button will illuminate both the flood and the spotlight, providing the best possible brightness for the pilot.
