Flown by 21-victory ace Manfred von Richthofen.
Flown by the famous ace Manfred von Richthofen, or “The Red Baron” as he was nicknamed, this Fokker DR.I is an early WWI era tri-plane. Praised for high agility and excellent handling characteristics, the aircraft was inspired by British Sopwith Camels that proved far too strong against their own Albatross biplanes. Boasting an impressive rate of climb but lackluster top speed, the DR.I leveled the playing field against its contemporaries, bringing Richthofen to his 21st and final aerial victory in 1918.
