Kaman SH-2F Seasprite “HSL-35” Die-Cast Model

Designed primarily for use in anti-submarine operations, the Kaman SH-2F Seasprite was intended to be both compact and fast, for use in the United States Navy.

Designed primarily for use in anti-submarine operations, the Kaman SH-2F Seasprite was intended to be both compact and fast, for use in the United States Navy. Selected following extensive development and numerous prototypes during the 1960s, it would fulfil the requirements of the Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) helicopter program. Carrying upgraded sensors, it was capable of detecting subsurface and surface opponents, looking especially for patrol craft and submarines with anti-ship weaponry. Deployed during Vietnam and the Gulf War, it would fulfil rescue, reconnaissance, and anti-patrol operations, as well as plane guard when onboard its home carriers. Die-Cast version features a historic livery, printed decals, and authentic surface detailing with a rotating propeller and display stand. Measures 7.25”l with a 7.5” rotorspan at 1:72 scale.
