First flying in 2016, the Embraer E195-E2 is a modern, narrow-body jetliner for the present-day airspace. Continuing the E-jet family, it slots into the top of the table as the largest capacity version with over 30% more seating capacity than the smaller E-175 and around 15% more than the E-190. Having three similar sizes allows for further optimization that fits each airline.
Carrying up to 132 passengers with 2 crew members in the cockpit, the E-195E2 slots in at the top of the family tree. Powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW1919G engines, each aicraft generates 46,000 lbs of combined thrust on takeoff, 25% more than the E-175’s. Altitude ceiling of the jet is 41,000 ft, with a top speed of 571 mph, and maximum takeoff weight is 553,000 lbs.
Featured on this model is the KLM “Cityhopper” livery, found on all of the 50 E-jets in the Dutch airline’s fleet. Expected to lower costs and decrease noise levels, it was an ideal pick in the eyes of this operator. Subsequently, others have begun to lease the type from each other while Embraer completes the hundreds of aircraft requested over the coming decades. Die-Cast version features an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and detailed landing gear for display in flight. Measures 4.25”l with a 3.5” wingspan at 1:400 scale.
