Budget friendly ANR headset with Bluetooth
The perfect choice for budget-conscious pilots, students, and passengers, the Sierra offers high-end performance and features—including outstanding noise cancellation, full Bluetooth integration and compatibility with FlightLink, Lightspeed's in-cockpit recording app. It's a great introduction into the world of ANR headsets. Made in the USA.
Bluetooth interface
The Bluetooth interface makes it easy to connect to your phone or listen to music. Personal preferences can be set using the enhanced capabilities of FlightLink, Lightspeed’s exclusive iPad app: bass and treble levels, voice clarity boost, in-flight recording via Bluetooth.
ANR
Active noise reduction reduces low-frequency noise, allowing clear communication while minimizing fatigue even in loud cockpits. The result is a quieter, more comfortable environment that helps you stay focused on what matters.
Excellent battery life
With the auto-shutoff feature, 2 AA batteries will power the Sierra for over 40 hours, conserving energy when the headset isn’t in use. That means fewer battery changes and more reliable performance on your flights.

Why I love my Sierra
Student Pilot
"As a new pilot, the Sierra is ideal for my flight bag. It's priced right, but I don't have to sacrifice important features like ANR or Bluetooth. In my opinion, it's the best bang for the buck."
Pro: High-end features, mid-range price
Pro: Soft ear seals and headband
Con: Heavier than Zulu 4 headset
This is by far the most common style, with separate microphone and headphone plugs (so-called PJ plugs). Almost every airplane ever built has these two plugs in the panel, so these headsets are universal. For ANR headsets, you will need to use AA batteries.
Sometimes called the "LEMO plug," this requires no batteries as it is powered by the panel. While many newer airplanes come with this option, most older airplanes do not without an aftermarket installation.
Helicopters use a single, shorter plug. An ANR helicopter headset will still need AA batteries unless the helicopter is equipped with a specific 6-pin LEMO connection.
A single 5-pin connector made for Airbus jets. When in doubt, the twin plug model is the most universal option for general aviation.
