One of the most feared and capable ground-attack aircraft in the world, the P-47 Thunderbolt boasted tremendous firepower for the USAAF.
Excelling in support of infantry and anti-tank combat during WWII, this reliable aircraft deployed over 130,000 tons of explosives in 500,000 missions. Boasting 2,000 horsepower with it’s massive Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine, it was even capable of air-to-air combat, taking down 7,000 enemy aircraft with its eight 0.50 caliber machine guns. Achieving the combat ratio of nearly 5:1 in the skies, it quickly became an all-around successful machine no matter where it went. Featuring colors of the USAAF 86th Fighter Group, this display model boasts an authentic paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and rotating propeller. Each one also includes pre-installed landing gear and display stand to show the aircraft in flight. Measures 6.25”l with a 7” wingspan at 1:72 scale.
